Conrad Marca-Relli
American · 1913
Conrad Marca-Relli was a member of the first generation of Abstract Expressionists and the New York School, distinguished by his pioneering use of collage on a monumental scale. Cutting and layering canvas and fabric into dynamic, quasi-figurative compositions, he brought a sculptor's structure to Abstract Expressionist gesture. A close associate of de Kooning and Franz Kline, Marca-Relli is held in major museums and supports a solid, established secondary market. Rosenfeld Gallery handles secondary-market works by Conrad Marca-Relli across paintings, collages and works on paper.
